Cold-Climate Heat Pump COP Derating & Heating Load Balance Point Dataset
Empirical and thermodynamic performance matrix modeling variable-speed inverter air-source heat pumps. The dataset evaluates compressor capacity retention, Coefficient of Performance (COP) degradation, latent defrost penalties, building heating balance points, and auxiliary electric resistance strip staging requirements.
đŦ Dataset Methodology & Engineering Basis
Simulations model residential heating loads per ACCA Manual J and heat pump capacity curves conforming to AHRI 210/240 and NEEP cold-climate specifications. Defrost degradation is modeled below 40°F with dynamic frost accumulation curves and timed reverse-cycle penalties.
